The variety of sports activities available allows for making the most out of leisure time. From diving the spectacular Red Sea, bracing the wind while windsurfing in the sun, or working up a sweat with a vigorous game of tennis or squash, to calmly enjoying Billiards or Chess, the choice is there, at one's own pace.

Our sweet water pool with its island, separate children pool and extended terraces, is generously oversized to provide for enjoyable hours of diving, swimming and sun-tanning.

For entertaining the young ones, our Kids Club is daily open from 8 AM till 5 PM.

Nearby highlights as Luxor, the Roman ruins of Mount Claudianos can be visited by organized trips from the Resort. At the nearby Bedouin Village, the traditional hospitality of the Bedouins and camel riding can be enjoyed. Available are also boat trips to Tobia Island with its sandy lagoons, untouched corals and glittering waters of shades of turquoise.

Barakuda Diving Center Lotus Bay

The Barakuda Diving Center Lotus Bay is situated in the heart of Lotus Bay Beach Resort & Gardens.

Since April 1998 the Barakuda Diving Center is under the management of Mahmoud Abd El Hady. With his multinational team of experienced instructors and guides, Mahmoud makes every effort possible to make your holidays most enjoyable.

We provide diving courses in several languages, such as English, German, French, Dutch, Italian and Arabic according to the standards of PADI, SSI, CMAS and TDI.

We have six comfortable diving boats which will be at your service, all providing a spacious diving deck and platform, salon, sundeck, salon and toilet.

Our boats leave every morning at 08.30 a.m. from our private marina located directly in front of the diving center. After each dive you will be offered a glass of tea and between the two dives the boat crew serves a delicious fresh lunch. Cold beverages are available at any time. Between 03.00 and 05.00 p.m. the boats come back to the marina. Early enough for a get-together at the bar in front of the diving center before you get ready for dinner. We regularly organize night dives at the house reef and from the boat, early-morning dives and wreck-dives at famous Salem express.

Your safety is our biggest concern. Therefore all our boats are equipped with full oxygen kits, first aid kits and VHF radio so we can contact other boats, diving centers or medical assistance within short time. All our guides and instructors are well trained in medic first aid and the next decompression chamber is only a 10 minute drive away from the diving center.
